Good morning, Marketers, Google’s vehicle ads are rolling out this month, but will they drive ROI?

If you’re asking yourself “Is this new?” the answer is yes — new to Google, at least. Microsoft Advertising launched a similar format (Automotive ads) last March. As a matter of fact, Microsoft has released a slew of automated, vertical-specific ads that leverage data feeds:

Google might be late to the game here, but this product seems to fit its MO: Machine learning-powered features that are relatively easy to get started with and offer little in terms of advertiser controls. Microsoft Advertising is a few steps (or products) ahead right now, but as I often hear search marketers say, Google is where the search volume is.
